Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of training on mental alertness to reduce partner selection anxiety among a sample of girls about to get married at Aswan University, numbering (28) females. This sample was randomly divided into two equal experimental and control groups, each consisting of (14) female students. They have a partner selection anxiety scale as well as a treatment program.
The results of the research revealed the effectiveness of training on mental alertness to reduce the anxiety of choosing a partner among a sample of girls about to get married, as it showed the presence of statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the experimental group members’ scores in the pre- and post-measurements on the partner-choice anxiety scale and its dimensions in the direction of the post-measurement.
