The Role of Digital Transformation in Improving Healthcare Services: An Applied Study on the Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah Al-Mukarramah

  The aim of the research was to identify the role of digital transformation in improving health care services: an applied study on the Health Affairs Directorate in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. The study sample consisted of (301) senior management, middle management, supervisory management, and employees. The study tools were a questionnaire form. The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant impact of digital transformation in improving health care services in the Health Affairs Directorate. There is also a statistically significant impact of human resources in improving health care services in the Health Affairs Directorate. There is also a statistically significant impact of administrative requirements in improving health care services in the Health Affairs Directorate. There is also a statistically significant impact of material components in improving health care services in the Health Affairs Directorate. There is also a statistically significant moral impact of security requirements in improving health care services in the Health Affairs Directorate. There is a statistically significant moral impact of databases in improving health care services in the Health Affairs Directorate. The study recommended the necessity of updating and developing the information technology infrastructure in health institutions to ensure the stability and security of digital systems. Workers in the health sector should also be trained on the importance of security. Cybersecurity and methods of protecting patients' personal data.
