The Relationship between IT Governance and Crisis Management in the Directorate of Health Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the role of IT governance in crisis management in the health sector: an applied study on the Directorate of Health Affairs in Taif "Kingdom of Saudi Arabia", and (384) completed forms were collected for all data at a rate of (96%), and the demographic data of the workers were represented in (gender - age - educational qualification - marital status - job level - number of years of experience); The researcher designed a questionnaire with two axes, the first axis includes IT governance, and the second axis includes crisis management, and the research reached several results: There is a positive correlation with statistical significance between the degrees of IT governance) and the early warning dimension with a value of (.841), which is a strong and significant correlation coefficient at the level of (0.01); There is a positive correlation with statistical significance between the degrees of IT governance (total score) and the preparedness and prevention dimension with a value of (.827), which is a strong and significant correlation coefficient at the level of (0.01); There is a statistically significant positive correlation between IT governance scoresand the damage containment dimension with a value of (.817), which is a strong and significant correlation coefficient at the (0.01) level; there is a statistically significant positive correlation between IT governance scores (total score) and the recovery dimension with a value of (.774), which is a strong and significant correlation coefficient at the (0.01) level; there is a statistically significant positive correlation between IT governance scores and the crisis learning dimension with a value of (.795), which is a strong and significant correlation coefficient at the (0.01) level; there is a statistically significant positive correlation between IT governance scores and crisis management with a value of (.902), which is a strong and significant correlation coefficient at the (0.01) level.
