Requirements for success of popular reconciliation committees in local communities as approach to resolving conflicts: A study from perspective of community organization

Abstract

Spread of conflicts and disputes between individuals and groups in society is one of the important issues that negatively affect community development programs and the stability and cohesion of society. committees in governorates and cities has emerged to resolve and settle conflicts between individuals and groups in society. W generations in resolving conflicts, this study aimed to identify the basic requirements that must be available in popular reconciliation committees in order to be more capable and effective in resolving and resolving conflicts. This was done by relying on the social survey method of members of popular reconciliation committees in Dayrout Center, Assiut Governor ate, whose number reached (24) members. The study concluded that the most important requirements that must be available in popular reconciliation committees came in the following order: value requirements in first place with an arithmetic average of (1.98) and material requirements in second place With an arithmetic mean of (1.96), in third place are skill requirements with an arithmetic mean of (1.67), and cognitive requirements in fourth place with an arithmetic mean of (1.62), and in last place are communication requirements with an arithmetic mean of (1.43). The results of the study confirmed that the general level of availability of requirements in reconciliation committees appeared at a record average level, which requires working with governmental and civil bodies and institutions to support popular reconciliation committees with appropriate components and requirements so that they are more effective in resolving disputes in the local community.
