Abstract

This study aimed to identify and stand on the realistic and actual role of the social worker's practice of his professional role in the health field, and the obstacles that prevent the social worker from performing his actual role in the health field. And propose a vision to develop the professional performance of the social worker in the health sector.
The problem of the study revolved around how to develop the professional performance of the medical social worker in light of the scientific and practical patterns revealed by modern administrative developments that can achieve remarkable development in care methods and fields in general, and social service in particular, and it was the result of the prevalence of these modern concepts and patterns. The process of professional development and the development of professional performance has become of great importance in social service in general and the way society is organized in particular, so the process of developing professional performance is an urgent necessity, through standing on the level of professional performance of the social worker, and providing him with new skills that are in line with global professional variables in accordance with For a proposed vision we offer.
For this purpose, the study followed the analytical descriptive approach, and reached a proposed vision for the development of the professional performance of the social worker, with which the study was concluded.
